Advanced MBR Screening Technology Awarded to Hydroflux HUBER for Goulburn STP

September 15, 2017
Goulburn STP is currently being upgraded by Haslin Constructions, to include a state of the art Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) process that will produce a high quality effluent for reuse for irrigation on sporting fields and parklands.

Hydroflux Huber, were awarded the advanced screening technology to protect the membrane bioreactor modules which is central to the plant’s process. HUBER’s RPPS ROTAMAT® Inclined Drum Screens are well proven in pre-MBR screening applications throughout Australia and around the world.

“The HUBER RPPS Rotamat® protects the membranes from accumulation of fine fibrous material and screenings that can pass through even the finest inlet screens. We use a 2mm perforated drum which allows for exceptional capture rates of fibres. A heavy duty PU seal ensures no bypass of flow. The HUBER Rotamat® design includes the integrated washing and compacting screw, meaning that only one drive is required for this unit. The entire machine is fabricated in 316 stainless steel and built to the highest German standards” says John Koumoukelis, Director of Hydroflux Pty Ltd.
